This was a beautiful day, AND it happened to be the hottest day of the year. I generally long for this type of summer day, but not when I’m in flower mode–and not when the outdoor ceremony is taking place in the direct sunlight at the hottest time of the day. I’m pretty sure I sweat harder at this wedding than when I do hot yoga. But I had to keep those gorgeous blooms looking their best, and I think it turned out pretty great. Holly-Kate and Company did the planning and design on this one, bringing me in for the floral touches. We worked with a white/cream color palette using greenery and berries to add depth and tie in the bride’s favorite color, navy, used throughout the wedding. Holly-Kate put a great team of vendors together and I was grateful to be a part of it. These lovely photos are thanks to the talented Laurel McConnell.
